Spain admits it hurts to lose 0-4 to Real in the second leg of the King's Cup semi-final, but coach Xavi believes Barca will overcome to focus on winning La Liga.

"I'm not afraid this defeat will haunt us," coach Xavi said after Real's 0-4 defeat at Camp Nou on the evening of April 5. "We still have a very good season. We won the Spanish Super Cup and we are going to have La Liga. Now, I think about the game against Girona."

Barca currently leads La Liga with 71 points, 12 points more than defending champion Real. If they win eight of the remaining 11 matches, they will usurp the opponent's throne.

Before that, Barca also beat Real 3-1 in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. It was Xavi's first title after more than a year back as Barca coach.

In the semi-final second leg of the King's Cup, Real claimed the debt of losing 0-1 in the first leg. After Vinicius' goal at the end of the first half, Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick against Barca. Real reached the final with the final score 4-1.

"This was a hard night to digest and it left all of us as cules heartbroken," Xavi admitted. "We have to learn to play better. We have La Liga and we have to move on. It's time to react."

Regarding the progress of the match, according to Xavi, Real took advantage of the counterattack to open the score. But the goal that doubled the difference in the 50th minute was the one that decided the game's fate. At the end of the game, Barca lost the balance. As a result, Real punished them twice more.

"Real is a great team," Xavi praised the rival. "If you don't beat them, they will knock you down. We played well in the first half and have to congratulate Real in the second half."

The match on the evening of April 5 is Xavi's seventh El Clasico as Barca coach. Two of them are a 2-3 defeat in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup and a 4-0 victory in the second leg of La Liga last season. The remaining five matches all take place this season: 1-3 defeat in the first leg of La Liga, 3-1 victory in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, 1-0 in the semi-final first leg of the King's Cup, 2-1. in the second leg of La Liga and lost 0-4 in the semi-final second leg of the King's Cup.

"This is not my worst night," Xavi insists. "I've had worse nights. Last year we won 4-0 but won nothing. But this year we can win La Liga."

Real will meet Osasuna in the final on May 6 in Sevilla. In another semi-final second leg, Osasuna beat Bilbao 2-1 on aggregate. Real won 19 King's Cup, only 12 titles behind Barca and Bilbao four titles.
