The Vietnam Super League is played by 14 teams, and adopts the single round robin system of home and away games, with a total of 13 rounds. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams will participate in the championship playoffs, and the last eight teams will participate in the relegation playoffs. The playoffs also adopt the single round robin system of home and away games. The final winner of the championship group will be the champion of this season. At the same time, the second winner of the championship group will participate in the Asian Cup next season. If the Vietnam Cup winner and the second winner are the same team, the quota will be postponed to the third. The last place in the relegation group will be directly relegated to the First Division, and the second place from the bottom will have a relegation play-off with the second place in the First Division to compete for the qualification of Vietnam Super League next season.
