Without an appointment, Joel Embiid and Trae Young "won the ring" on the same day

Nearly three months after winning the 2022/23 MVP title, Joel Embiid has reached another major milestone in his life, marrying his longtime girlfriend Anne de Paula.

Embiid, 29, and de Paula, 28, were married in a church in Southampton, New York. The couple have been together since 2018 and share a son, Arthur Elijah, who is about to turn 3 years old.

The couple met through the recommendation of a mutual friend. Bride Anna is 28 years old this year, is a Brazilian supermodel. Like the new groom, Anna de Paula loves football and even competes in the wooden frame.

Both families from Cameroon and Brazil gathered at the wedding. The Sixers star's close partners Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, De'Anthony Melton and Georges Niang were present to congratulate.

On the same day as Joel Embiid's wedding, Trae Young also gave a ring to her partner. The Atlanta Hawks defender is officially married to fiancee Shelby Miller.

Miller is 27 years old this year, 3 years older than the groom Young. The two had a son named Tydus last year. The two have spent 6 years together, since they were at the University of Oklahoma. Trae is a member of the basketball team, and Shelby is a member of the cheerleading team.

The two were engaged to each other in 2021, and their wedding plans were practically postponed because of the birth of their eldest son. Shelby Miller is quite active on Instagram and has 40,000 followers
