Winning against the Cambodian naturalization team, the Vietnamese women's basketball team has a second victory
Once again, the Vietnamese basketball team had to face an opponent with a tall and muscular center, but this time coach Michael Olson's teachers and students did not let the scenario in the last two matches repeat.
Led by Nguyen Thi Tieu Duy's increasingly impressive form, the Vietnamese women's basketball team completed a comeback against the host team Cambodia.

The yellow star red flag warriors overcame the 8-point gap created by the home team in the second half, then broke through in the third half before winning the final. The final score of the match was 86-77, the victory belonged to captain Huynh Thi Ngoan and teammates.
The naturalization of Maria Cooks from the US has caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese women's team in the inner row. However, even more annoying was the excellent pitcher Brittany Dinkins in the outer ring.
This 29-year-old defender owns a successful 3-point throw rate of up to 70% (7-10 3PT), constantly making it difficult for Vietnam national team. However, today coach Michael Olson's teachers and students played more firmly in both attack and defense, showing the best face from the beginning of the tournament.
Starting from defense, strikers like Dang Thi Thuy Hang are constantly supported and covered by teammates. On the offensive line, Thao My and Thao Vy no longer have to "carry" but switch to the role of creating.
The most explosive players today are Tieu Duy and Thuy Hang. One is active inside the near-basket, the other makes good use of long throws.
Another plus point is that the Vietnamese women's basketball team has a thicker squad, rotating almost the entire number of troops. Only Cam Tien and Ngoc Hau did not enter the field due to injury.
Nguyen Thi Tieu Duy is the best player on the Vietnamese side with 24 points (8-18 FG, 3-8 3PT), 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Dang Thi Thuy Hang had an outstanding match with 18 points 9-15 FG), 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
Truong Thao My almost had a triple-double with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. In addition, she has 4 more steals and 1 block. Seven out of eight Vietnamese players entered the field and scored, including Mailee Jones leading the reserve with 7 points (3-6 FG).
As in previous matches, the Cambodian women's team depends mainly on naturalized players. Defender Brittany Dinkins leads with 33 points, including 7 successful 3-pointers (7–10 3PT).
Meighan Simmons scored 14 points and 5 assists. Center striker Maria Cooks had a double-double with 19 points, 22 rebounds and 2 assists. This trio of naturalized players scored 66 out of 77 Cambodia's points against the Vietnamese women's basketball team.

Tomorrow, May 15, Nguyen Thi Tieu Duy and her teammates will have the last match at the 32nd SEA Games. The opponent of the Vietnamese women's basketball team is Singapore.
If they win, the Vietnamese girls will complete the SEA Games 32 5x5 basketball campaign with 4th place overall.
