The 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship will take place in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from August 30 to September 6. Before the tournament, Indonesia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka withdrew from participating, leaving this year's tournament with 14 teams divided into 4 groups, including 2 groups of 3 teams.

Ranking in each table will be based on the following criteria:

- The score for position classification is calculated as follows: The team that wins 3-0, 3-1 will receive 3 points, the team that wins 3-2 receives 2 points, the team that loses 2-3 receives 1 point. - If the teams are still equal in number of wins and points, the following criteria are continued to be taken into account:   + Sets: If two teams have equal points, they will be ranked according to the result of the total number of sets won. for the total number of lost sets   + Number of points: If the two teams are still tied based on the set coefficient, the next criterion will be calculated as the result of the total number of points scored divided by the total number of lost points. + If the two teams are still tied in points, the ranking will be based on the result of the match between the two teams in the group stage. In the event of three or more teams being tied, positions will be determined based on matches involving only competing teams.

The top two teams of Group A and C will advance to Group E, the top two teams of Group B and D will advance to Group F. In the top 8 round, if the two teams have met in the group stage, they will not play each other, instead. Scores will be calculated based on the results of the match between the two teams in the group stage.

The 2 best teams in each group E and F will advance to the semi-finals, and the bottom 2 teams will be ranked 5-8.

The two bottom-ranked teams in groups A and C and the bottom two teams in groups B and D will be placed in groups G and H respectively. The two teams with the best records in each group will play the 9-12 classification, the bottom two teams will play classification 13-14.
