Westbrook's confusing ball closes the Lakers' bitter loss to the 76ers
LeBron James has just made history when he scored 35 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds, surpassing the 38,000-point mark to become the second person in history to reach that number.
However, that was not enough before Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers team. Playing at home, but the Los Angeles Lakers lost painfully to the away team Sixers with a difference of exactly 1 point, the final score 113-112.

Despite playing well the whole game, Russell Westbrook had a rather dark situation on the decisive ball, unable to pass or finish after being locked down by Embiid, ending the game with a turnover.
Westbrook said he was fouled by Joel Embiid. The slow-motion video also shows the bigman 76ers grabbing Russell's wrist the entire time, but the umpire didn't notice and considered it a valid defense.
This is a very professional match. Neither side led by more than 8 points and the two teams continuously tit-for-tat. Unfortunately, it ended with the bitterness of the Los Angeles Lakers fans and players.
James Harden scored 24 points and completed a double-double with 13 assists for the Sixers. Embiid led the visitors with 35 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tobias Harris and Tyresse Maxey contributed 15 and 16 points, respectively.

On the LA side, LeBron James played the best with a nearly triple-double match (35 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds). Russell Westbrook was second with 20 points, 11 assists and 14 rebounds.
Besides LeBron James' historic achievement with 38,000 points, Russell Westbrook also set an NBA record when he became the player with the most triple-doubles when coming on as a substitute. He has a total of 198 triple-doubles in his career, 4 of which have come this season.
