VM Hue 2023 running track connecting traditional and modern

On the evening of March 29, the organizers of MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 announced the official running route. Routes 5, 21 and 42km are unchanged from the previous season, which has been granted international standards by AIMS. While the 10km arc is a small adjustment to facilitate the runner to compete.

The starting gate of all four distances is located at the intersection of Le Duan street, intersecting with Nguyen Trai. The finish line is divided into two separate gates, arranged at the intersection of To Huu - Ha Huy Tap, for two groups of 5, 10km and 21.42km. The distance between the two starting points and the destination is about 3km.

With a distance of 5km, the runner after leaving the starting line will run on a road lined with trees, passing famous landmarks of the ancient capital such as the Citadel, Truong Tien Bridge... Usually this distance will start. at the latest, at dawn. Runner can watch the Perfume River early in the morning, run and feel the rhythm of the city life.

This year MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue designed a completely new track for the 10km distance. Accordingly, runners can conquer all three bridges across the Perfume River: Phu Xuan Bridge, Da Vien Bridge, and Truong Tien Bridge. 10km is also a unique experience for those who love the ancient features of Hue when running through Le Huan, Dang Thai Than, Doan Thi Diem... before reaching the finish line on To Huu street.

Similar to the 10km distance, runners participating in the two longest distances 21 and 42km will have the opportunity to discover the ancient beauty of Hue citadel. Along with that is to admire many beautiful and peaceful scenes of the ancient capital. The running track is mostly straight, long, convenient for runners to break through and set records.

At a distance of 21km, runners will explore the big circle of Hue Citadel with Le Duan, Nguyen Van Linh, Dinh Tien Hoang roads. They then strode to conquer inner-city routes such as Ba Trieu, Le Quy Don, and Hung Vuong before reaching the finish line on To Huu Street.

Runner 42km has the same initial route as the half marathon. However, the 21km stage will go straight to Hung Vuong, To Huu and towards the finish line. The distance of 42km continues to Tu Duc and Vo Van Kiet roads, through EcoGarden urban area, experiencing the modern features of Hue before completing the race.

To ensure the safety of more than 10,000 runners, along the track, the organizers arranged 12 single watering stations, 6 two-way water refueling stations, 6 master medical stations, 5 regular medical stations, and 4 ambulance stations.

Particularly, the number of toilets increased by 5 times compared to the previous season. Entertainment arranged at the starting area of ​​Le Duan Street with 20 fixed and mobile toilets; the finish line Hue Sports Center 20 toilets; Ngo Mon Square 20 toilets; on the run 14 toilets. Runners should carefully study the layout and layout of utilities on the track to promptly handle problems.

After two seasons, the third season of MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue attracted 10,000 participants. All will compete on April 16. Currently, the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue has been embellishing the roads, ensuring the best quality.
