* Score: Cong Phuong 8' (pen), Thanh Binh 42', Hoang Khanh 58', Hong Kien 61' – Hoang Phu 64', Duc Quang 88' (pen)
Ha Tinh created the most surprises at this year's tournament. From the team that was not allowed to participate in the final round, they got a spot after Binh Duong withdrew. After that, this team passed the group stage, defeated Hue and host PVF respectively by penalty shootouts to reach the final of the National U17 for the first time in history.
However, Ha Tinh did not have the opportunity to finish writing the fairy tale in today's final. In the 6th minute, Hoang Khanh went to the ball in front of the penalty area and then shot a long shot, touching defender Ha Tinh's hand to bring Viettel a penalty. Captain Cong Phuong successfully opened the scoring in the match.
Losing early, but Ha Tinh had difficulty in attacking the tight defense of Viettel. In the 42nd minute, Cong Phuong played the role of creating a corner kick for Thanh Binh to double the gap for Viettel.
Having two goals in the lead, Viettel gained more confidence in the second half and continued to have a third goal in the 58th minute. Cong Hau broke through two Ha Tinh players and then stretched for Hoang Khanh to cushion the ball to score. Striker number 29 stuffed the ball into the belly of his shirt, sucking his index finger to celebrate the birth of his younger sister. Three minutes later, the score was 4-0 for Viettel thanks to Hong Kien's goal.
From here, Ha Tinh began to rise strongly, while Viettel actively played in moderation. In the 64th minute, the central team shortened the score to 1-4 thanks to Hoang Phu, then hit the crossbar twice in succession. In the 88th minute, Duc Quang got the second goal on the penalty spot. Despite their best efforts, they had to accept the final defeat 2-4.
This is the second time Viettel has won the National U17 - Thai Son Nam Cup, after 2018. Before that, they finished second in 2015 and 2017.
Viettel also won the individual titles when Cong Phuong won the Best Player and Top Scorer awards with four goals, equal to Nguyen Trong Tuan of SLNA. The title of excellent goalkeeper belongs to Luong Anh Chien with three out of six clean sheets, including an outstanding match in the semi-finals that helped Viettel beat SLNA 1-0.
