In the new year, the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) plans to organize 5 tournaments of the Vietnam Amateur Series, launch the Junior Tour and 7 prizes for the professional VGA Tour.

According to the 2023 schedule announced on December 26, the Vietnam Amateur Series will open from March to July, including the Union Cup, National Middle Age Championship, Men's, Women's, and Junior Open Championships. In particular, the Union Cup, in the sixth match, still follows the pit play format and is only for the two teams of the North and the South, both in the high-level handicap segment (single handicap). Junior Tour for teenagers-children will be held in both the North, Central and South, with a total of 8 prizes.

The second season of VGA Tour will have 7 tournaments, spread from February to December, starting with the Lexus Challenge at The Bluffs, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and closing the curtain with the Tour Championship but the venue has not been determined. The prize fund for prizes fluctuates in the range of VND 1-2 billion. Vietnam Match Play Championship in May is a new point in the program, when it follows the format of the pit match. Previously, this event was for amateurs.

The opening season of 2022, the VGA Tour has five tournaments, of which the Tour Championship ends on December 22, at Thanh Lanh Valley Golf & Resort, Vinh Phuc with the championship of the whole arena belonging to Joel Troy, an Australian. Troy finished first with a score of -5, receiving 500 million VND. The recent event is considered the grand final of the VGA Tour when it only won the top 30 men's prize money over four stages, including Lexus Challenge, Vietnam National Championship, Vietnam Open, and Vietnam Masters. On average, the prize fund for the prizes is determined to be equal to or better than the Asian second-place professional system - Asian Development Tour.

The Vietnam Golf Association is developing the VGA Tour according to the international model, which decides the championship of the whole system similar to the US PGA Tour with the FedEx Cup table and the grand final of the Tour Championship for the top 30 in East Lake, Atlanta. The DP World Tour (the new name of the European Tour) also applies the same way, through the rankings with the same name of the arena, but the closing tournament in Dubai opens to the top 50.
