UEFA may launch this event in the United States

According to Marca, UEFA plans to hold this competition before the opening of the Champions League every year. It will bring together the Champions League winners and three "hugely successful" teams, or teams in the top three of Uefa's rankings.

The competition will be conducted in the system of two semi-finals and one final. The location may be the United States, in order to promote European football and attract more advertisements.

Hesitant about the new competition, the Champions League champion will withdraw from the European Super Cup. The two champions of the Europa League and Conference League will compete for this competition.

From 2024, the UEFA Champions League will also be held in a new format. The number of participating teams increased from 32 to 36. In the first round, each team will play eight games against different opponents. The top eight teams will go straight into the 1/8 round. The teams ranked 9th to 24th will play round robin matches to determine the remaining eight tickets.

UEFA changed the Champions League competition system to counter the idea of top clubs hosting Super League. In April 2021, six music clubs Premier League, three music clubs La Liga and three music clubs Serie A jointly announced the establishment of their own leagues. However, the scheme quickly collapsed under pressure from public opinion and UEFA.
