U22 Vietnam kicked off a closed practice session with Phu Tho
The match will take place at Viet Tri Stadium and take place in the form of a closed match, without spectators and the press. Phu Tho Club is currently led by former Vietnamese player Vu Nhu Thanh, preparing for the first division to kick off in early April.
Initially, coach Philippe Troussier wanted to arrange for U22 Vietnam to play friendly matches with some strong teams in the V-League, but this plan failed because these teams were full. The internal friendly match between the U22 team and the seniors in the Vietnamese team also could not take place during the five-day gathering last week.
From today, March 13, U22 Vietnam will start practicing the third phase, which will last until March 17. Coach Troussier still let the media work through the warm-up part, then closed the door to practice tactics. Four additional U20 players - including Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Duc Viet, Khuat Van Khang and Nguyen Van Truong - joined forces, bringing the army to 32 people.
On March 18, Coach Troussier will shorten the list and join U22 Vietnam to go to Qatar to attend the Dubai Cup friendly tournament. There, the team met Iraq on March 22 and the UAE on March 25, respectively. U22 Vietnam will determine the third opponent on March 28, depending on the rank of the teams after the first two matches.
