U20 Vietnam let the opponent kick enough people despite receiving a red card

UAE coach Hoang Anh Tuan asked Dubai City to continue to use all 11 players to play after George Dunkley received a red card, in a friendly loss 0-1 on February 23.

In the 69th minute, when U20 Vietnam was leading 0-1, Dunkley had to receive a red card after a dangerous foul. However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan suggested that Dubai City coach put another player in instead, playing enough people. He wanted to see how the attacking students could find the equalizer against the majority of the opponent's defense.

Dunkley was also the one who made Khuat Van Khang foul in the penalty area, giving Dubai City an 11m penalty for Chrishomlm Brown to open the scoring in the first half.

After the goal, U20 Vietnam pushed up the offensive squad. The team created a series of opportunities even though the opponent had many tall foreign players. But in the final finishing situations, the team did not have the accuracy. At the end of the first half, Van Cuong passed even goalkeeper Saurav Karki but then missed the post when the goal was empty. In the 70th minute, it was Dinh Bac's turn to have the opportunity to finish close range when he was not followed but still failed. The shots of Thanh Nhan and Van Khang then also missed the goal.

After losing to Dubai City, U20 Vietnam will stay in the UAE for two more days before going to Uzbekistan to compete in the U23 Asian finals. This award, teacher and coach Hoang Anh Tuan is in Group C, meeting Australia on March 1, Qatar on March 4, and Iran on March 7.

The final round of the Asian U23 Championship has the participation of 16 teams. The four semi-finalists will win tickets to the U20 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia starting in May. Since Indonesia is the host, there is a U20 FIFA World Cup, so if this team enters the top 4 at U20 Asia, the teams lose. in the quarterfinals will play against each other to compete for replacement tickets.

Leading Vietnam U20 is coach Hoang Anh Tuan. He used to take Vietnam U19 through the group stage of U19 Asia 2016 despite encountering many strong opponents such as North Korea, Iraq and the UAE. The team then continued to shock when defeating host Bahrain to enter the semi-finals, and also won tickets to the U20 FIFA World Cup in 2017.
