MyChun In Gee scored an ace at the major Chevron Championship on the LPGA Tour, like Charley Hoffman in the Zurich Classic on the PGA Tour.

Both hole-in-ones occurred in the third round of events in the two American men's and women's arenas on April 22.

Chun scored on hole 17 when playing 164 yards from the flag with a long iron.

And Hoffman with the hybrid, made a similar record at the 210-yard 9th hole.

Hoffman dropped his weapon, touched his chest, and high-fived teammate Nick Watney. In golf, the hybrid combines the advantages of irons and woods.

According to the National Hole-In-One Registry (USA), the probability of scoring an ace for a professional golfer is at 1/3,000 shots, for an average amateur at 1/12,000.

Neither Chun nor Hoffman received personal rewards from the hole-in-one. However, when Chun finished a 17th hole, he brought in a million dollars for charities sponsored by the Chevron Championship in Houston.

In addition to that part, the title sponsor also awarded 10,000 USD, also serving charity activities for each birdie at the 17th hole during the tournament. After three rounds, the organizers have not yet counted the number of birdies at this hole.

Chun was born in 1994, after 11 years of professional play, he has won four championships on the LPGA Tour, including three majors, including the Women's PGA Championship 2022.

Hoffman is 46 years old, five years older than teammate Watney. Both have surpassed the 460 mark on the PGA Tour, of which Watney won five cups, one more than Hoffman. But in terms of gross prize money, Hoffman comes in at approximately $33 million, $4 million more than Watney.

Major Chevron Championship 2023 individual stroke play, hosted by the LPGA Tour at The Club in Houston, Texas. Meanwhile, the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic plays team stroke in TPC Louisiana. Both battlefields are par72.

At the end of round 3, Chun stood at T18 (-3), seven strokes from the top of the table. She didn't sound deep due to +6 in round 1 and came even par with 66 strokes in round 2.

The Hoffman – Watney pair is at T24 (-17) at the Zurich Classic. This tournament has 80 pairs, playing four-ball in rounds 1 and 3, foursomes for rounds 2 and 4.

In four-ball stroke play, the Organizing Committee selects the best hole point to calculate the overall round score while the foursome takes the results after the two members alternately handle the hole, thereby pooling the round score.
