Tuchel: 'Brilliant defeat to Man City was fun'
Tuchel says the 3-0 scoreline doesn't reflect the game, as Bayern conceded at times when they were playing better. Midfielder Rodri's long-range goal was considered an "unclear opportunity".
"Bayern should have scored at least one goal," added the Bayern coach. "And we don't deserve to concede another goal or two."

Tuchel has led Bayern 15 days, since being appointed to replace Julian Nagelsmann. He said the defense defended with emotion despite conceding three goals at the Etihad. "Today I love Bayern a little more," he said. "I really like the way players defend one-on-one. It sounds silly but today's game was really fun."
Bayern kept the ball 56% of the time but shot less, with 12 compared to Man City's 17 chances. When asked why the away team did not score, the German coach said: "We lack form and confidence. Missing opportunities in football is also normal. Sometimes we need to get the ball to the dead corner. or hit the opponent to change direction. But today everything happened in the opposite direction. The result is bitter but we need to know how to overcome it."

Due to the lack of striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting due to injury, Tuchel substituted Serge Gnabry and left Sadio Mane or Thomas Muller as a substitute late on. He explained that Muller was a world-class player about 30 yards down the pitch. "But I don't think we'll be playing mainly in that area in this game," he said. "We value speed more."
Man City opened the scoring thanks to Rodri's left-footed shot, before centre-back Dayot Upamecano made a mistake that led to Bernardo Silva's second goal. In the 76th minute, Erling Haaland cushioned the close to seal a 3-0 victory for Man City, a week before the two teams kicked the second leg in Munich.
