"Super Tiger" suddenly hurt his right foot, so he couldn't compete in the Hero World Challenge at Albany in the Bahamas from December 1 to 4.

"I developed plantar fasciitis while preparing for the Hero World Challenge. This problem made it difficult for me to walk. After consulting with my doctor, I decided to withdraw from the roster," Woods announced via Twitter today. 11/29. And like that, he was only the host of the tournament.

Three weeks earlier, "Super Tiger" also made an appointment to compete at the event: "I will be on the list for Hero World Challenge 2022. See you in Albany".

The event has been on the PGA Tour calendar since 2000, in conjunction with fundraising for the Woods-founded charity. This year's tournament brings together 17 players in the world's top 20.

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation and damage to the longitudinal muscle band on the sole of the foot, the part that connects the heel bone to the toe. This disease causes heel pain, leading to difficulty walking, even standing unsteadily. If not treated in time, it will turn into chronic pain, greatly affecting daily activities.

In the last month of the year, Woods plans to finish the Hero World Challenge and will join Rory McIlroy in a 12-hole match against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas at The Match on December 10 at Pelican Golf Club, Florida.

After The Match, Woods and son Charlie are expected to reunite with the PNC Championship from December 17 to 18. This tournament, the Woods participated in both recent sessions, and "next year is higher than last year" - from the final Saturday in 2020 to the runner-up in 2021.

In announcing the withdrawal of Hero World Challenge, Woods kept his plans to attend The Match and the PNC Championship.

Having this pathology is ominous information for Woods, when his health is completely down, especially the leg after a near-fatal traffic accident in February 2021. In April of this year, he had only rematched and over the past 7 months, he only competed for three major championships, in which he finished 47th Masters, gave up after the 3rd round of the PGA Championship due to health reasons and was eliminated at The Open.

Despite having few matches, "Super Tiger" still holds the top position on the PGA Tour, by holding 15 million USD when winning the "Player Impact Program 2022" on November 22. Woods will turn 47 on December 30.
