A member of the Arbitration Committee said that in this situation, Mr. Vu Nguyen Vu's decision was wrong. According to FIFA Rule 12, a goal is disallowed if it comes immediately after the ball has touched the attacking player's hand, whether accidentally or intentionally. If handled correctly in this phase, referee Vu Nguyen Vu must cancel Hai Huy's goal, giving Ha Tinh a free kick.

Referee Vu Nguyen Vu, a native of Vung Tau, has been controlling matches in Vietnamese football since 2009. He was elected as the Silver Whistle in the 2022 season.

After an unfair goal, Ha Tinh retreated the entire squad to a multi-storey defensive stone, keeping the result 3-2.
