The player kicked the opponent's head in the national U19 tournament

In the 74th minute of the match on the Tay Ninh field on the afternoon of April 24, while leading 2-0, the host player Tran Minh Hy tackled the ball fiercely with Mai Quoc Tu. While jumping to avoid, defender Da Nang suddenly kicked the opponent's head with his foot. The collision caused players on both sides to rush into a scuffle.
After that, the referee Nguyen Hong Quoc drew a red card and directly disqualified Quoc Tu, and also issued a yellow card to Minh Hy for a dangerous split. Tay Ninh players received medical care and then transferred to the hospital for examination. Today, April 25, Quoc Tu was discharged from the hospital and can practice.
Because of this incident, Da Nang coach Phan Thanh Duc apologized to Tay Ninh team on behalf of his students. Team Da Nang also asked Quoc Tu to write a review, and criticize him in front of the whole team. The player who has just joined U20 Vietnam to attend the 2023 Asian U20 tournament in Uzbekistan also faces an internal disciplinary sentence after the National U19 tournament.
But in the immediate future, with the red card directly received yesterday, Quoc Tu will be suspended for two matches according to the law. The Organizing Committee of the National U19 Championship has transferred the file to the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), recommending additional discipline for this player.

The match on Tay Ninh field was tense, with many collisions, causing the referee to draw one red card and eight yellow cards. Dang Gia Thien opened the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute. Then, Doan Tien Len had a beautiful long shot with his left foot that doubled the difference in the 50th minute. Da Nang's efforts only helped them shorten the score to 1- 2 in the 82nd minute, from the situation where Ma Anh Hao kicked his own goal.
This 1-2 defeat left Da Nang at the bottom of Group A after two matches. Meanwhile, Hanoi leads with four points, followed by Tay Ninh and Khanh Hoa with the same three points, but Tay Ninh ranks above due to more goals.
The third match will take place on April 26 with two pairs of matches, Tay Ninh - Hanoi and Khanh Hoa - Da Nang.
The national U19 final round consists of 12 teams divided into three groups to compete in a round robin. The top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
