MetaSports Marathon Amazing Ha Long kicked off on September 13 with a total prize value of more than one billion dong. In particular, the 42km male and female champions received a prize of nearly 44 million VND, including 25 million VND in cash, Garmin watches and Skechers shoes. The cash prize level increased by 5 million VND compared to the last prize, VM Nha Trang.
The awards for ages under 30, 30 - 39 and 40 - 49 are in the top 5. Particularly, the age groups 50 - 59 and over 60 are in the top 3.
In the half marathon distance, the organizers will award the top 3 finalists, regardless of category and movement. The male and female champions received prizes of nearly 25 million VND, including 12 million VND in cash, Certina watches and Skechers shoes. All awards for the age group are awarded to the top 3.
The 10km distance has three final prizes worth 8.3 million VND, 5.7 million VND and 5.2 million VND respectively. The 5km distance is similar with prizes of 5.7 million VND, 4.7 million VND and 4.2 million VND.
The organizers said that not dividing the two groups into movements and teams is to create greater competition. The athletes of the current movement system have a systematic training process and continuously improving achievements, so they are fully capable of competing for final rankings with athletes from the athletics staff of provinces and cities.
Another change in organization is the Expo area. For the first time, the race kit distribution area for runners is located in open space, between buildings and trees in the Halong Marina Square area. According to the organizers, this change helps to increase communication and connection, creating an airy space. The track of VM Ha Long also has many improvements. In addition to changing the starting and finishing areas, the tournament will increase the number of water, medical, and toilet stations. On average, 2km runner meets a support station.

MetaSports Marathon Amazing Ha Long is the 5th tournament in 2023 of the MetaSports Marathon system after Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang. The tournament has 11,000 athletes participating. The full marathon distance starts at 3am at the earliest, runs through sea-bound routes, with a view that embraces Ha Long Bay such as Tran Quoc Nghien, Bai Chay bridge, Ky Quan street, the way to Tuan Chau island.
