On this morning (Sunday, February 26), the opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Tournament 2023 (school year 2022-2023) took place at Phu Tho Sports Stadium.

The ceremony was attended by many delegates, officials, representatives of sponsors and members of the organizing committee. Besides, there are more than 2000 athletes and students from 101 schools in districts in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, the 2023 Ho Chi Minh City student basketball tournament also serves the purpose of selecting outstanding and outstanding athletes, adding to the ranks of the city's basketball team to participate in national championships at various ages. year old.

The Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Tournament is a playground organized annually by the Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation, accompanied by sponsor Nestle Milo.

This year, the tournament attracted 172 teams representing 101 schools in districts including District 1, District 2, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 6, District 7, District 8, District 10 , District 11, District 12, Phu Nhuan District, Tan Binh District, Binh Thanh District, Tan Phu District, Go Vap District, Binh Tan District, Nha Be District, Binh Chanh District and Thu Duc City.

Approximately 2,000 athletes and nearly 200 coaches will compete in four main groups including grade 1, grade 2 (grades 6-7, grades 8-9) and high school.

Matches will take place continuously, every day for the next 4 weeks. The final series of contents and awards will take place on the afternoon and evening of March 21. All are held at the basketball court cluster - Phu Tho Sports Stadium.
