Thai women's volleyball welcomes good news before week 3 of VNL 2022 group stage

The second week of VNL 2022 is a turbulent time for Thai women's volleyball when they are missing a series of players due to injury and COVID-19. This has made the 31st SEA Games champion no longer maintain the same uplifting form as in the first week of competition and in danger of being knocked out of the top 8. Thankfully, before the final week of the group stage, Thailand promptly welcomed the return of the pillars.

Hattaya Bamrungsuk and 7 members infected with Covid-19 in week 2 were in time to recover and were ready to play. The 8 female athletes were also named in the list of Thai squads in the last week.

Another good news for Thai women's volleyball is that the injury of PIMPICHAYA Kokram is not too serious. The number 16 shirt was still summoned into the team and set out to Bulgaria and his teammates on June 25.

At the present time, the Thai women's volleyball team is ranked 8th on the VNL 2022 rankings and will meet Korea, Dominican, Brazil and Italy in the last week. They need to win against Korea and especially Chomican to make sure in the quarterfinals.
