Tears shed in the final match of the Japanese National Volleyball Championship

The Japanese National Championship where Tran Thi Thanh Thuy played has reached the final match. The decisive battle for the championship is the confrontation between the Toray Arrows and the NEC. Two teams own two big stars of Japanese volleyball, Ishikawa and Koga.

The final was an exciting event with high professional quality as expected. NEC Red Rockets with Koga's excellence and a more impressive auxiliary pair quickly took the lead 2 - 0.

However, Kulan and especially Ishikawa played explosively in the following 2 sets to help the home team equalize the score 2 - 2 and bring the final into a breathtaking 5th set.

Thought the championship belonged to Toray when the team was leading 14 - 12. But the consecutive situations of too rigid cornering of the second pass to Ishikawa's position caused Torray to lose a series of points.

The pressure was reversed on Toray's shoulders, they were constantly being followed closely by Ishikawa's opponents making them unable to cut points. She was stopped in a row, helplessly watching NEC go up 4 points in a row to complete the comeback with a score of 16 - 14.

Ishikawa was the best scorer on Toray's side with 32 points and 44% efficiency, but the efforts of the girl wearing the number 10 shirt were still not enough. Falling to the ground, tears kept rolling down Ishikawa's face. Too bad for Torray and congratulations to NEC Red Rockets on becoming the new king of the Japanese league.
