Stephen Curry Disqualified, Jordan Poole Rescues Golden State Warriors
Annoyed by his teammate's hasty three-pointer decision, Stephen Curry lost control and threw his tooth guard off the field.
The referees immediately disqualified the Golden State Warriors star for this action, the scenario and penalty had happened twice before. Although Curry and many other Warriors players personally explained, nothing can change the decision of the referee.
Their opponent across the field is the Memphis Grizzlies, a team that is desperate to win after 3 defeats and is led by Ja Morant, a star full of energy and speed.
The one who angered Curry was Jordan Poole, who was soon called a criminal by many Golden State fans for disqualifying Steph.
But then it was Poole who played the hero, scoring game-winner to bring home a breathtaking victory with a final score of 122-120 for the Golden State Warriors.
After the two teams took turns scoring in the final 30 seconds of the game to bring the score to 120-120, Donte DiVincenzo found Jordan Poole with a split second just below the basket.
It is not clear if this is the main intention of coach Steve Kerr when drawing this run, only know that Poole was cunning enough to deceive his tutor, then from villain to hero.
That was Jordan Poole's 21st point of the game, with 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. Above him are 24 points (5-10 3PT) from Klay Thompson.
Stephen Curry before being kicked off the field played extremely sublime with 34 points (10-19 FG, 4-8 3PT, 10-11 FT), 3 assists and 2 steals. But a moment when he couldn't control his emotions almost made him receive bitter fruit.
Coach Steve Kerr said after the game that: "Stephen knows the consequences of that. He knew he couldn't make a mistake like that. It happened before and the referees did the right thing."
Besides confirming what Curry did was wrong, the Warriors captain also praised the rest of the players for playing very well in the decisive phase.

As for the Memphis Grizzlies, this was the 4th consecutive loss of the "bears", an unbelievable turning point because Morant and his teammates were unbeaten in 11 matches before.
Ja Morant led the team with 29 points and 12 assists, a good performance after being sidelined with an ankle injury. Desmond Bane is right behind with 20 points.
Difficulties pile up even more when they will have to find a way to make up for the hole left by Steven Adams. New Zealand's Bigman has a knee injury and is expected to be out for about 3-5 weeks.
In the next outing, both teams will play together on Saturday morning (January 28). While the Memphis Grizzlies came as a guest in Minnesota, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Canadian team - Toronto Raptors.
