Salah has renewed his contract with Liverpool
Liverpool are paying the striker £ 350, 000 ($422,000) a week to persuade Salah to stay for another three years. The announcement ends a string of rumours about the 30-year-old's future, when his old contract expires in the summer of 2023. He will return to training for the new season with his teammates from next week.

In December 2021, the two sides failed to postpone negotiations for the first time. At that time, Salah's representatives flew to Miami, USA, to negotiate with Mike Gordon, president of Fenway Sports Group (FSG). Salah wants to stay at Liverpool but needs a contract of the same value as the world's top players.
Salah's wish has finally come true. Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward has flown to Salah for a holiday to end his contract. The contract was signed by Salah in the presence of at least three people, while he was still wearing holiday clothes. Video of Liverpool announcing the contract was also taken at Salah's resort as he wore white shorts and was topless overlooking the sea.
Head coach Jurgen Klopp influenced Salah's decision to stay. He has spoken privately to the Egyptian striker many times and has shown Liverpool's ambitions. Salah in particular is an important figure in the team, even though he has just turned 30.
Salah also said that the postponement negotiations lasted for a long time, but they were finally completed. He believes Liverpool can continue to dream of a quadruple in 2022-23. "Liverpool have been improving over the last six years," he said. "Last season, we almost ate four, but unfortunately lost two titles in the last week. If we get the support of the fans, we will do that next season."
Coach Klopp has said he will celebrate Salah's new contract. "The peak of Salah's career is yet to come," he said. "And what Salah has done for Liverpool in the past is like a legend."
