Saigon FC in danger of dissolution

Published:2022-11-18 By Đức Đồng(MetaSports) Comments
Ho Chi Minh City If relegated, Saigon Club is likely to dissolve when investors are no longer interested.

Saigon FC is at the bottom of the V-League with 19 points, two points behind the team ranked above Ha Tinh. Coach Phung Thanh Phuong's teachers and students can only stay in the relegation if they win Binh Duong, and Ha Tinh lose or draw Thanh Hoa in the final round.

The opportunity for Saigon to slip through the narrow door is very difficult when the players are disgruntled, out of motivation, and foreign soldiers refuse to play because they are owed salaries and bribes. On the contrary, Ha Tinh was playing at home, receiving Thanh Hoa who had run out of motivation and kept troops for the National Cup front.

"We still go out to the field to play our best, but the opportunity everyone knows is not much," Phuong shared with MetaSports. "The team is facing many difficulties, morale is down and the force is thin but still hoping for a miracle."

In the previous round, two foreign soldiers Olsen and Nanitelamio refused to go to Nam Dinh, while defender Quoc Long went to fight because he was not registered, when Saigon lost the "reverse final". After the match, Mr. Phuong called these players unprofessional.

Currently, two foreign soldiers Olsen and Nanitelamio have asked to return to practice, but Mr. Phuong said he will not register them to compete. Quoc Long also confirmed that he would sit in the stands cheering his teammates. Besides, captain midfielder Cao Van Trien was absent because of a penalty card, so Saigon's forces were weak and lacking.

According to MetaSports research, the team's leadership has prepared to handle the procedures for players after the tournament ends. This move shows that the club is likely to dissolve.
