To prepare for the official race day, for nearly a year, Nha Trang Runners have planned and supported each other to practice. The club divides its members into small groups, activities according to each ward, residential area and target group. "Every Sunday morning, we organize a long run, runners from neighboring provinces also come and run in the Luong Son pass area, both to exercise and get used to the terrain," said the administrator. More than 1,000 runners of Nha Trang Runners Club and their families will be on the track on the morning of August 13, the number of which has increased 4 times compared to last year. According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Early, the event has been awaited by the host runner world for a year - since the first season (August 2022) ended. "Thanks to MetaSports Marathon, the running movement in Nha Trang has exploded. Many runners have only known running last year, starting from zero, after a year of training, they have reached sub4 full marathon and sub2. half marathon. There are many promising runners, born in 2006, 2007 conquering long distances like 21km", he shared.
Besides improving the quality, the number of official members of Nha Trang Runner operating in the province has doubled. Active members on the online group increased from 2,000 to nearly 4,000 people, coming from all over the country.
"Runner is more interested in Nha Trang, so MetaSports Marathon is a great opportunity to promote the image of people and culture. In addition to preparing professionally, we also work with hotels to have incentives. for runner brothers and sisters to stay during the competition days," said the club's management. After the race, Nha Trang Runner held a small party with fellow runners across the country.
As a son of Nha Trang, living at the clubs Viettel Runners and GreenStar (Hanoi), runner Minh Chau also planned to welcome members of the two clubs during the days they competed in Nha Trang. This year, when playing at home, Ms. Chau did not set an achievement goal. The female runner wants to give her full attention to special guests.
"There are few opportunities to welcome members of the two clubs to Nha Trang to run the tournament, so I want to give the most thoughtful welcome in terms of accommodation. She shared that when the members of the two clubs come to Nha Trang, no one has to run alone. The members of GreenStar and Viettel Runner in Nha Trang will share with their teammates throughout the race and hold hands to the finish line.
MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2023 took place on August 13, attracting 11,000 athletes from all over to participate. The event is considered explosive by Khanh Hoa province in many aspects, especially the number of athletes participating has increased by one and a half times. Along with that is the number of tourists, runner relatives flocking in 3 days of the event (August 11-13), which is expected to reach tens of thousands of people.
