Rooney's son helps Man Utd U13 win Man City
Kai scored with teammate Gabriel. After the final match on March 19, the 13-year-old boy posted a photo wearing a HC and celebrating the championship with his teammates on Instagram. "National Cup. Won Man City 2-0. Great performance," wrote Kai.
With a victory over Man City in the final in the north of England, U13 Man Utd won the right to play in the national U13 National Cup final against Arsenal, the champion of the south.
Kai is currently one of the promising talents of the Man Utd training camp. If he continues to improve, he is fully capable of playing for the first team in the future.
Kai's father, Wayne Rooney holds the record of scoring 253 goals in 559 games for Man Utd's first team. The 37-year-old player also won five Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, three League Cups, four English Super Cups, one Chanpions League, one Europa League and one FIFA Club World Cup with the first team.
In 2013, when he was almost four years old, Kai was present at Old Trafford with his father to celebrate the 2012-2013 Premier League season. It was the last national championship of Man Utd.
Kai is the eldest child of Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen. They have three more children, including Klay born in 2013, Kit born in 2016 and Cass born in 2018.
