Real wins big to keep hope in La Liga
Spain's Karim Benzema scored a brace from the penalty spot when Real beat Elche 4-0 in the late game of round 21 of La Liga, shortening the gap with the top of the table Barca to 8 points.
Having to play at the latest in round 21 after going to Morocco to conquer the FIFA Club World Cup, Real was under great pressure because Barca opened the gap in La Liga to 11 points.
