Spain striker Marcus Rashford sees Man Utd as a defeat after drawing 2-2 at Barca.

"Man Utd did well to regain the game after being lost. The first half leaned towards Barca a bit. But Man Utd was calm, we played alert and tried to create chances when we could. Even so. , I still see this draw as a defeat," Rashford told BT Sport.

Rashford was scored the highest by Whoscored on the Man Utd side in the first leg of the 1/8 round of the Europa League at the Nou Camp. The 25-year-old striker equalized 1-1 for the visitors two minutes after they were conceded by Marcos Alonso. Seven minutes later, also from Rashford's dribble and cross, Jules Kounde owns an own goal. However, Man Utd could not keep the lead when letting Raphinha set the score 2-2 in the 76th minute.

"In the second half, Man Utd scored two goals quickly. The team felt they could keep that result until the end of the game. But Barca are a strong team with good players. In the end, they still scored more goals. . I think Man Utd is more proactive in looking for opportunities, maybe because of the lead," said Rashford.

With a 1-1 equalizer at Camp Nou, Rashford has scored 14 goals in 16 matches since the 2022 World Cup. In all competitions, the England striker has scored 22 goals and eight assists this season. Before the match, Xavi declared that Rashford was the player he was most afraid of on the Man Utd side and the developments proved it, when the 25-year-old striker imprinted his shoes on both situations of the English team.

The 25-year-old striker is satisfied with his contribution. "It was very difficult to find an angle from where I was at that time. So I just decided quickly, put the ball in and luckily the ball went into the net," Rashford said of the situation that caused Kounde to kick back.

But Rashford does not deny that he feels Barca have an upstream basis in the second leg at Old Trafford. "If you give Barca space, they will hurt you. Simple as that," he commented, and hoped that Man Utd would continue to play well at home and win tickets to go on.
