The French team is said to want to combine Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in attack from next season, as the last attempt in realizing the Champions League dream.

According to famous French sports journalist Daniel Riolo, in the summer transfer window of 2023, PSG is willing to spend about 210 million USD to convince Man City to release Haaland. This amount is three times the amount that Man City spent to release the contract between Haaland and Dortmund last year.

If successful, Haaland will become the second most expensive player in history. Currently, Neymar holds a record of $ 263 million when he moved from Barca to PSG in 2017, while Mbappe ranked second with $ 200 million after leaving Monaco to go to PSG in 2018.

Lionel Messi and Neymar may leave PSG in the summer. Messi's contract is only valid until June. Meanwhile, Neymar is disappointing in terms of form and playing time for the club.

The departure of the aforementioned duo will open a gap in the club's salary bill. This is a condition for them to recruit Haaland without worrying about violating financial fair play laws.

Coach Christophe Galtier can also leave the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2023. PSG has just lost 0-3 to Bayern in the 1/8 Champions League round. Many leaders have left PSG after not winning the Champions League, including Laurent Blanc, Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino.

According to the Daily Mail, Zinedine Zidane is one of the candidates to replace Galtier. The French military leader has been unemployed since leaving Real in June 2021. Zidane wanted to lead France after the 2022 World Cup, but current coach Didier Deschamps decided to stay.

In 35 appearances for Man City, Haaland scored 34 goals. The 22-year-old forward is still in high form, having delivered 86 goals in 89 games at Dortmund and 29 goals in 27 games at Salzburg. However, Man City is playing not really as expected. The reigning Premier League champions have not kept their usual consistency, and are currently second with 61 points from 27 games - five points behind the top of the table Arsenal. In the first leg of the 1/8 Champions League round, Man City drew 1-1 at the lower door Leipzig.
