PSG allows Al Hilal to negotiate with Mbappe

On the evening of July 24, PSG accepted Al Hilal's record $ 330 million offer and allowed the Saudi Arabian club to approach Kylian Mbappe.

A few hours earlier, the European press simultaneously reported that Al Hilal raised the asking price for Mbappe to a record $ 330 million. The Saudi club is also willing to pay the French striker $775 million for a one-year contract. Then allow Mbappe to leave freely in the summer of 2024.

PSG is on tour in Japan, where they will play another Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr - the team that owns superstar Cristiano Ronaldo - on July 25. Then there is the match against Cerezo Osaka on July 28 and Inter Milan on August 1. PSG then flew to Korea to play against Jeonbuk on August 3 before returning to France to kick off the Ligue 1 2023-2024 opening match against Lorient. Mbappe is not participating in this tour.

According to AFP, a source from PSG's headquarters in Japan revealed that the club's leadership accepted to let Mbappe leave for $ 330 million. If the deal is successful, Mbappe will become the most expensive contract in the history of world football, breaking the record of $ 264 million that PSG spent to recruit Neymar from Barca in 2017.

With a huge salary of 775 million USD, Al Hilal can confidently convince Mbappe. Because if he refuses, Mbappe still has to stay at PSG, even as a reserve next season as threatened by the Ligue 1 champions, and then next summer can fulfill his dream of joining Real. In this case, PSG can still force the 24-year-old striker to leave on loan, and accept Al-Hilal's amount as a loan fee.

Real plays an important role in Mbappe's future. PSG believes that the 24-year-old star has tacitly agreed to move to the Bernabeu team next summer on a free transfer, thereby receiving a huge fee. Therefore, after a friendly match against La Havre 2-0 on July 21, PSG removed Mbappe's name from the list of going to Japan for a summer tour, and put him on the transfer floor.

When he was removed from the summer tour list, Mbappe is said to have responded by declaring his willingness to sit on the bench and not play for PSG for the whole 2023-2024 season, until the contract expires in June 2024. This source emphasized that France's participation in Euro 2024 did not change the mind of the 24-year-old striker.

On July 24, Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol reported that at least five clubs had contacted PSG to ask to buy Mbappe. Among these are clubs from the English Premier League, where Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal are said to want his services. According to AS, Barca has also jumped into the race for Mbappe. The Catalan team offered a lower cash payout, but wanted more players.
