Nguyen Van Quyet received a red card for clashing with the referee

Binh Dinh Striker Nguyen Van Quyet received a red card directly suspected of nudging assistant referee Nguyen Le Nguyen Thanh after Hanoi lost to Binh Dinh in the 7th round of V-League 2023.

In the match, Mr. Thanh had a situation to assist the referee to change an important decision in the 60th minute, when the score was 1-1. The referee Manh Hai gave Binh Dinh a direct free kick close to the penalty area, but then heard advice from assistant Nguyen Thanh, so he changed it to a penalty kick. On the 11m mark, Rafaelson scored to make it 2-1. In injury time, the Brazilian striker scored one more goal, completed a hat-trick and won 3-1 for Binh Dinh.

In the past, assistant Nguyen Le Nguyen Thanh used to collide with players in the Thanh Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City Club match in the 9th round of the V-League 2021. Goalkeeper Thanh Thang of the HCM City Club was determined to have head-butted behavior in the face. Mr. Thanh after the battle, leading to the replacement of dentures. After that, the VFF Disciplinary Committee fined Thanh Thang 15 million dong, suspended for three matches for overreacting to the referee during the match.
