NBA transfer: The league board "didn't like" what Dame and Harden did?
In a recent interview, NBA executive committee member Adam Silver spoke up about the player transfer market, specifically the request to be traded to another team by two big stars including Damian Lillard and Damian Lillard. James Harden.

“In terms of running the tournament, I don't like them at all,” commissioner Adam Silver said about the trade requests of Damian Lillard and James Harden.
“Looking at what's happening in Philadelphia and Portland, I hope the outcome will satisfy all parties. But for me personally, this is not good. I hope the players and teams respect their contracts.”
It's common for stars to ask to leave in the NBA. However, the cases of Lillard and Harden are more special for different reasons, creating many debates in the basketball community throughout the offseason.

James Harden caused the most surprise when he called Philadelphia 76ers professional president Daryl Morey a "liar" and would "never stand on the same line" with this president.
The NBA fined Harden $100,000 for the above statement, but this did not change the point of view of the defender who was a 10-time All-Star and appeared on the All-NBA first team 7 times.

With Damian Lillard, the longtime defender of the Portland Trail Blazers asked to leave last summer when he saw that the team intended to rebuild, contrary to the goal of competing for the championship that he had always aimed for.

Because Lillard still has a 100% contract until the end of the 2025-25 season (with a Player Option clause for the 2026-27 season), the Portland Trail Blazers do not have any reason to rush. They have the right to keep Dame if they want, regardless of the All-Star defender's decision to play or not.
James Harden also fell into a similar situation with 1 year remaining on his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. Mr. Daryl Morey said he would "only sell Harden at the right price" and even suspended all negotiations to wait for this player to appear before the new season.

It is still unclear which club James Harden and Damian Lillard will play for in the upcoming 2023-24 season. Just know that Mr. Adam Silver, on behalf of the NBA executive board, publicly expressed his disapproval of players following in the footsteps of Dame and Harden in the future.
