The Hanoi Open Golf Club Championship is the largest in Vietnam, bringing together more than 1,000 players for the 2023 tournament.

The event, hosted by the Hanoi Golf Association since 2017, is currently sponsored by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA).

This year's tournament has 32 teams qualifying in August to select 18 teams, from which to combine with 34 teams in the final round in October. Each participating club has 18 representatives, including reserves. With this number, the stage that determines the final achievement is expected to have more than 900 players, and the whole tournament is over 1,150 people, including both men and women.

When entering the actual battle, the golfers will be distributed into five suitable handicap groups, ranging from below 8.0 to 23. Each club has two representatives in each level segment to play holes to earn points for the home team. One point for each win, 0.5 for a draw. The organizers will base on the combined score to rank the final results.

The standard round hole match ends when the number of holes won (up) is greater than the number of holes remaining, and the result shows the number of ups first.

The qualifying round for the 2023 Hanoi Open Golf Club Championship was held at Sky Lake golf complex in Chuong My, closing the curtain on August 18 after three days of competition. At that time, the event recorded the most disparate duel results at 9 & 7, while the Nguyen Thang Long club achieved the highest score - eight points. The first team has national player Nguyen Dang Minh to attend the 31st, 32nd SEA Games and the Asian Games next month.
