Italy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic became the oldest player to score in Serie A, but Milan lost 1-3 to Udinese in the 27th round.

Ibrahimovic scored with a 45+4 penalty. At 41 years and 166 days, the Swedish striker became the oldest player to score in Serie A. He surpassed the old record of 41 years and 25 days set by another Milan player, Alessandro Costacurta on May 19, 2007. . The two records have two things in common: both were made from the 11m mark into the Udinese net.

This is also Ibrahimovic's first goal this season. The Swedish striker had to miss the first half of the season due to injury, and has only played four games after recovering. Yesterday, Milan's striker Olivier Giroud was absent due to suspension, so Ibrahimovic was started for the first time since January 2022.

Before meeting Udinese, the defending champion lost 1-2 to Fiorentina and drew 1-1 Salernitana. The presence of Ibrahimovic could not improve the situation. They even let Udinese open the scoring after 9 minutes. After blocking Ismael Bennacer's cross, Lazar Samardzic crosses the ball to Roberto Pereyra's shot just outside the box. The shot hit Fikayo Tomori, penetrated the gap between Bennacer's legs and caused goalkeeper Mike Maignan to misjudge.

Milan rushed to attack after the first goal. After many efforts from Ibrahimovic, Alexis Saelemaekers, Rafael Leao and Brahim Diaz, they also equalized. The referee awarded Milan a penalty for Jaka Bijol's handball. Ibrahimovic bounced off goalkeeper Marco Silvestri on his first penalty, but the referee gave the kick back as Beto ran into the box early. In the second time, the 41-year-old striker hit the net Udinese.

Due to disagreement with the referee, Udinese coach Andrea Sottil received a direct red card. However, the home team still played well. Two minutes after Ibrahimovic's penalty, Isaac Success broke through on the left and then passed it close to the touchline. Beto shot from five yards to make it 2-1.

Milan pressed more after the break, but Udinese counter-attacked excellent. In the 70th minute, the home team fixed the score 3-1. After Udogie's escape from the left and a cross, Kingsley Ehizibue put the ball into the near corner.

Milan's remaining efforts were fruitless. Rade Krunic failed with a volley outside the box. Not long after, Divock Origi failed to finish when the ball crossed the goal.

This defeat could cost Milan fourth place in Serie A. The defending champions are on 48 points from 27 games, one more point but playing one more game than Roma. Meanwhile, Udinese ranked eighth with 38 points.
