Middle Eastern defender:'I was skeptical of coach Gong'
-This is the first time that Vietnam and Britain wear the armband of Vietnam U23 captain, and it is also the first captain under coach Gong. How are you feeling? (Quan Shan, 23 years old).
- I just feel more responsible, try harder. As the captain, you must set an example for your teammates, to compete together. I was inherently quiet, probably because of my small nature, but always trying to exhort you to be confident and united.
After you lost Saudi Arabia in the late end, what was the first thing you thought of? (Danish primo, 54).
-The first thing is.. Sad. Everyone is very sad because of failure. My teammates and I set higher goals in this competition and worked hard to the end. After the game, Coach Gong told us to "relax" and "smile" … but in fact, we were not in the mood. Anyway, we still have a lot of games to try.
- What about the first goal against Saudi Arabia, is it because Vietnamese players are too Fair-Play in the situation that the opponent is in the field, so they conceded? (Anh Sang, 48 years old, Hoa Binh)
Maybe we lost focus in a heartbeat, so we have to pay. But I can't say fair-play, because the ball is rolling, so I can't stop watching the video slow, and I'm wondering, "Why don't I lie there?" Because if he's lying there, maybe the referee's gonna blow out Saudi Arabia player because he's got to me.
-In the group match victory over Malaysia, Yue Ying missed the penalty and scored soon after. How did you feel? (Pham Tuan, 26, Hanoi).
- I was mentally prepared, because I often practice 11m. But it was true that I was under pressure because I had not kicked a penalty for a long time in an official match. Fortunately, after the kick was broken, the ball splashed in the right position so that I would hit the stone into a table.
After the success of the U23 Asia Award, assuming this time we received an offer from the Thai football club, Korea, Japan and Europe, which option would you choose? (Queen Ping, 29, Prefect).
-Playing abroad is always good for players. This is what every professional player wants. Me personally, too. But if there is such a suggestion, I must consider it very carefully. That must be in the future. Now, I still have to improve myself and work harder, because I don't think I am good enough.
-Viet Anh had to play football away from home since he was a child, and then experienced many family-related incidents and injuries... At this time, did Yue Ying ever get discouraged? (Duong Quang Anh, 20 years old)
-There are difficult times in everyone's life. I am very quiet, because I have also experienced many sad stories. Sometimes parents think they must sell their house. My father has to work as a security guard, while my mother works as a worker in Pingyang. The family was separated for eight years before they were reunited. But until now, I am always lucky, because I still have my parents and sister by my side. In fact, my parents wanted me to give up everything and go home many times, especially during the time when I focused on Taiping Genius School and then joined Hanoi Youth Team. But I never thought about quitting football, because it has always been my passion.

-Viet Anh and Thanh Binh have many of the qualities of a modern guard. What do you think of the game of perfecting and pursuing famous defenders like Sergio Ramos or Van Dyke? (Pan Long, 31, Ho Chi Minh).
-I prefer defenders who cover and judge rather than argue. I always follow this game style myself. But of course, central defenders have to be strong, so I also study hard, hone and exercise to play better. Not to mention foreign stars, in Vietnam today, I want to learn the style of Que Ngoc Hai. That's my idol.
-If you are not a player, what will Yue Ying do? (Tra My, 36, Ho Chi Minh City).
-I don't know what to do. Because I can only do anything but football. I can sing, too, but it's not good, and neither is the piano. There are some videos of me singing with my piano in my arms on the Internet, but in fact I'm just joking with my friends.
