France striker Kylian Mbappe indirectly denied rumors of leaving this summer, when he announced that he wanted to join PSG in realizing his ambition to win the Champions League.

"The next step in my career? It's to win the Champions League. I've played in the final, semi-final, quarter-final, round of 16. I've done everything to win," Mbappe told France 3 days 12/4.

The French striker also committed his future to PSG. He said: "Winning the Champions League is all I need. I hope it will happen as soon as possible. I am a Parisian and have a contract. So I want to win it with PSG."

According to the British Daily Mirror, this is the first time Mbappe has spoken about his future since the 2022 World Cup. "At the moment, I'm only focused on the second World Cup in my career. After that, I don't know," he said. said when he joined the French team in November 2022.

In the summer of 2017, Mbappe joined PSG on loan from Monaco, before being bought permanently in the summer of 2018 for $ 200 million. The French striker immediately became the mainstay of PSG with 202 goals and 96 assists in 252 matches, helping the club win four Ligue 1, three French Cups, two French League Cups and two French Super Cups. But Mbappe has not yet won the Champions League with the best achievement being in the 2020 final, where PSG lost 0-1 to Bayern because of a header from Kingsley Coman.

At the end of May 2022, Mbappe extended with PSG under a contract until 2025 with a weekly salary of $ 815,000. However, the future of the French striker is not guaranteed when he constantly creates controversy. Mbappe broke his relationship with Neymar when fighting for a penalty in the match against Montpellier in August 2022. After that, the 2018 World Cup winner is said to have asked the management to sell Neymar before the summer transfer window 2022 closes.

Mbappe also publicly criticized coach Christophe Galtier's tactics and complained that the style of play at PSG was not like the French national team, where he was allowed to play more freely. Last week, the 24-year-old striker also publicly reacted to the promotional video for the 2023-2024 season ticket, prompting PSG to remove the promotional video from all social networking platforms.

L'Équipe once revealed Mbappe and PSG's new contract only lasts until 2024, with the option to activate an extra year depending on the French striker. Therefore, Real can return to this deal sooner, from the summer of 2023. At that time, PSG will be in a similar situation in the summer of 2021, whether to sell Mbappe to prevent him from leaving in the summer of 2024, or again tried to convince the French striker to activate the extension for another year.

PSG also experienced a disappointing season when they were soon knocked out of the French Cup and Champions League and only had Ligue 1 to strive for in the rest. The Paris capital club currently leads with 69 points from 30 matches, eight points ahead of Lens.

PSG coach Christophe Galtier has just been entangled in racist noise from his time managing Nice in the 2021-2022 period. According to Romain Molina, French investigative sports journalist, Julien Fournier, Nice's sporting director from August 2019 to June 2022, accused Galtier of complaining about the club having too many black players and follow Islam.

RMC Sport said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi opened an investigation immediately after receiving the information. It is not excluded that Galtier will be terminated from his contract a year early.
