Mane punches Sane in the face

According to Sky Germany, Sane bleeds from his lips after being punched by a teammate. The conflict started after the final whistle, when Mane approached Sane and complained about the German midfielder's words directed at him during the match. Then, Mane suddenly attacked and punched Sane in the face, causing his teammates to rush to intervene.

In the changing room after the game, Mane and Sane were kept separate to avoid conflict again. After Bayern flew back to Munich, Mane left the airport in his own car, while Sane took the bus with the team.

Bayern players are shocked by Mane's actions, and do not want the Senegal star to continue to appear in the team. He is at risk of being fined, suspended or even isolated from the team.

Bayern do not accept Mane's behavior, and will severely discipline not just fine because they want to deter other players. Coach Thomas Tuchel has only been in charge of the team for two weeks and is not responsible for this altercation. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and Technical Director Marco Neppe are in danger of losing their jobs, because of Bayern's recent problems.

Mane has lost form since joining Bayern in the summer of 2022, although he has scored 11 goals and assisted five times in 31 games this season. In the last 10 matches, he mainly sat on the bench waiting for a substitute, not scoring any goals.

Sane emerged as Bayern's "double main" with 13 goals and six assists after 35 matches. In the last 10 matches, he started six matches, scored one goal and assisted twice.

In the defeat to Man City, Sane played the full 90 minutes, and Mane came on in the 69th minute to replace Jamal Musiala. Bayern entered the game quite well but conceded in the 27th minute from midfielder Rodri's great long shot. They collapsed in the second half as Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland scored twice in six minutes to give City a three-goal lead before the return leg at the Allianz Arena.
