Malaysia hid cards before the Vietnam match
Malaysia landed at Noi Bai airport in the early afternoon. After a few hours of settling in at the hotel and resting, they went to the first training session in Hanoi to prepare for the third match in Group B AFF Cup 2022 against host Vietnam on December 27.
According to the original plan, the Malaysian training session took place from 7pm and the media was operated for the first 15 minutes as usual. But at the close of the hour, coach Kim Pan-gon requested that this be a closed training session, to keep information about the team secret. Therefore, an employee of the Malaysian team issued a notice inviting reporters to leave.
Malaysia's training ground is the regular training venue of Hanoi FC, located next to My Dinh yard with a fence and a tree line. However, a corner of the yard is located close to residential areas and major roads, so it is difficult to ensure absolute privacy. Malaysia originally planned to practice at Hang Day Stadium, but then, let VFF arrange it themselves, and My Dinh subfield was chosen for their convenience.
Yesterday 24/12, Malaysia defeated Laos 5-0 in the second round to rise to the top of Group B with 6 points, scored 6 goals and have yet to concede a goal. After that, the team moved to Vietnam. Except for center-back Khuzaimee Piee, who suffered a torn calf and had to miss the end of the tournament, the remaining 22 players of Malaysia are in good health.
Malaysia is not the best prepared in terms of personnel at the AFF Cup 2022, because many stars of the strongest club in the country Johor Darul Tazim are absent. However, the team still has a certain confidence under Coach Kim's reign. Malaysia introduced three British-born "Malaysian" players, Stuart Wilkin, Lee Tuck and Darren Lok, calling two Australian-born players Brendan Gan and David Rowley, and naturalized Argentine player Sergio Aguero.

Tomorrow morning, December 26, coach Kim Pan-gon will attend a pre-match press conference at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). In the afternoon of the same day, he and the Malaysian team will practice to get used to the My Dinh stadium.
The Vietnam - Malaysia match takes place at 19:30 on December 27. Malaysian Football Federation President Hamidin Mohd Amin will be present to watch live with the expectation of defeating Vietnam. Under Coach Park Hang-seo, Malaysia has never won against Vietnam, losing 5 and drawing 1.
