Los Angeles Lakers lost unbelievable upstream the day LeBron James approached the scoring record
Confronting a New Orleans Pelicans who are at the bottom of their form when they have lost all of their last 10 matches, the Los Angeles Lakers seem to have a relatively easy match.
Things went in a positive direction for the yellow and purple shirt team when they exploded in the second half, then led the Pelicans 12 points in the first half of the third half (score 84-72). However, the match scenario quickly reversed.

The Los Angeles Lakers defense almost disappeared from the middle of the third half to the end of the game, allowing New Orleans to equalize 106-106 early in the fourth half before completing the comeback with a 131-126 victory.
Although LeBron James and his teammates tried to regain the advantage at the end of the game, all efforts did not bring results before the excellence of CJ McCollum and especially Brandon Ingram.
The Lakers are a team that usually start slow and end games well with excellent defense, so today's loss will be harder to swallow.

Former Lakers - Ingram - scored 35 points (15-28 FG) for the New Orleans Pelicans. McCollum contributed 23 points and 7 assists. Bigman Jonas Valanciunas was behind the Pelicans superstar duo, completing a double-double of 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.
On the side of the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis shone on the day he met his old team. He scored 34 points with 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal. LeBron James also played well with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists but didn't have a good sense of throwing from outside the 3-point ring.

After today's match, LeBron James came very close to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record. He now only needs 36 points to become the highest scoring player in NBA history.
With his current form, it is likely that James will overcome Kareem in the next match when the Los Angeles Lakers face the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.
