U19 Southeast Asia is an annual tournament organized by the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) since 2002. After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the tournament is back and takes place from July 2-15 in Indonesia.

According to the draw results, U19 Vietnam is divided into Group A with hosts Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines and Brunei. When bringing together the four most admired teams in the tournament, it was considered a "death" group.
