VBA 2023 marks a change in the Regular Season when the teams will meet three times instead of twice as in previous seasons. Thus, Regular Season VBA 2023 will have a total of 63 matches and be divided into two phases:
- Phase 1 is organized according to the competition model in Hanoi capital. Matches take place every day from June 0 to the end of June 30.
- After that, phase 2 with the form of home and away will take place from July 8 to the end of September 3. Each week there will be 5 matches taking place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

After finishing phase 1 with 21 matches taking place in a centralized model in Hanoi, the defending champion Saigon Heat had the perfect debacle for the campaign to defend the throne with a record of winning all 6. battle.
