According to midfielder Kritsada Kaman, no matter how hard Vietnam kicks, Thailand will still not change the familiar gameplay in the 2022 AFF Cup final.

* Vietnam - Thailand: 19:30 Friday, January 13, on MetaSports.

Kritsada Kaman and the Thai team arrived at Noi Bai airport on the evening of January 11, and he said that the whole team was still tired. "Physically, we are tired, but that's not the point," he said the same day. "This morning, we focused on recovering our fitness before going to Vietnam."

When asked about the Vietnam team, the 24-year-old midfielder expressed confidence. "We are ready and focused for the game," he added. "No matter how hard the opponent is, Thailand still has to maintain a familiar style of play. I want Thai fans to come to the field to watch the second leg, because we want to be crowned at home."

Thailand is the only team to hold the ball more than the opponent in the past six matches in the AFF Cup 2022, with a rate of 59% or more of the time. They also have the most goals and shots in the league, as well as number one in most offensive stats.

Kritsada has been the mainstay of the Thai team since his debut in 2021. He can play well in the defensive midfield position, but mainly plays as a central defender under coach Mano Polking. He said that there is no problem in playing a central defender with Pansa Hemviboon or Chalermsak Aukkee, and he complies with all instructions of the coach.

Kritsada's point of view is not quite the same as that of Coach Polking, when he said that "Thai must also kick snakes when Vietnam plays snakes".

Vietnam and Thailand have both fouled 60 times at the 2022 AFF Cup. Thailand received eight yellow cards, while Park Hang-seo's men received six cards. Both teams received a red card, belonging to Nguyen Van Toan and Sanrawat Dechmitr.

Vietnam and Thailand will play the first leg of the final on January 13 at My Dinh Stadium, and then play the second leg at Thammasat Stadium three days later.
