The tournament has three rounds taking place from December 16 to 18, and is expected to bring together nearly 100 golfers to compete for a prize fund of 13 billion VND, of which 2.58 billion is for the champion. The host organization KLPGA reserved four slots for local golf representatives, nominated by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA). However, according to Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong - Deputy General Secretary of VGA in charge of professional golf, Vietnamese golfers will not use these four special slots, because they are busy focusing on competing in the National Sports Festival on Tuan Chau Stadium. Quang Ninh from December 13 to 16.

KLPGA Tour first came to Vietnam in March 2016 with The Dalat at 1200 Ladies Championship, a prize fund of 9.25 billion VND in Don Duong, Lam Dong with the championship belonging to Cho Jeong Min at -5. At that time, the hosting course had just completed 18 holes, the par72 type was redesigned by the Asian golf monument Kyi Hla Han from 9 existing holes. The KLPGA Tour event in Lam Dong that year also featured two major champions – Ko Jin Young and Kim A Lim. Ko won the Chevron and Evian Championship in the same year 2019, while Kim won the Women's US Open 2020.

From 2017 to 2019, KLPGA Tour continuously chose Twin Doves to organize the tournament with the name Hyosung Championship. All three periods have a bonus fund of 13 billion VND and are all events to close the match schedule. The next period will also close the curtain on KLPGA Tour 2022.

The Twin Doves course has a total of 27 holes, divided into three clusters, but when paired with the standard round, they are all par72. Of the three KLPGA Tour champions on this field, Lee Da Yeon achieved the highest score of -11 in 2019.

In the previous four openings in Vietnam, the KLPGA Tour host organization twice invited domestic representatives, up to 4 seats. But no one has passed the cut when trying out in 2016 and 2017.
