This year's Kenya Eluud Kipchoge will play at Berlin Marathon, where he sets a world record for marathon.

On July 8, Kipchogg's NN running team announced that the 37-year-old Kenyan runner was aiming for the fourth Berlin Marathon champion in his career. The running race in Berlin, Germany in 2018 was where Kipchogg set the world record with a time of 2 hours, 1 minute and 39 seconds.

This year's Berlin Marathon will take place on September 25. If first, Kipchoge will have the same achievement as the athlete Haile Gebrselassie, Ethiopian people. Runner Kenya won the Berlin Marathon in 2015, 2017 and 2018, and Gebrselassie held the throne of this Major in a row for four years, from 2006 to 2009.

Kipchogg is said to have refused to accept a huge reward and an invitation to take part in the London Marathon on October 2. This shows that he is determined to set a new world record in this year's Berlin Marathon.

The last time Kipchoge played was at Tokyo Marathon 2021 held in March 2022, where he returned most with a achievement of 2 hours and 2 minutes 40 seconds. The tournament has to delay the organization due to the influence of Covid-19 pandemic.

"The Berlin Marathon is the fastest track where people can show their potential to overcome the limits," South Runner said.

Berlin Marathon is an annual run in London, England, a member of the Six Largest System of Planet - World Marathon Majors (WMM), besides the tournaments in New York, Boston, Chicago, London and Tokyo .

Kipchoge has won two Olympic titles and nine WMM titles, four in London (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019), three in Berlin, one in Chicago (2014) and one in Tokyo (2021).
