Ho Chi Minh City Watching the past six months in Lank has been a wonderful experience, but striker Huynh Nhu, returning from leave this morning, admits there is still much to learn.

"I couldn't sleep for 12 hours on the plane from Germany to Vietnam because I was nervous to see my family again," Huynh Nhu said as he waited to board the bus at Tan Son Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of February 19. "I only think about my parents, because I know they are expecting. I will take advantage of this short time to have fun with my family, visit relatives and friends. After this time, I will continue counting".

Due to the break of the Portuguese Championship so that the country's women's team could focus on playing the play-off match for tickets to the Women's World Cup, Huynh Nhu was allowed to take a leave of absence from Lank FC. "I jumped because I was happy when I asked for permission and was immediately approved by the club," the Vietnam women's team captain shared. "This is a valuable break, I will try to take advantage of it to relax my mind, rest and then come back in the best shape."

In more than half a year of practicing with Lank, Huynh Nhu clearly felt the harmony of this group, both in activities, training and competition. When she learned that she had returned to Vietnam to visit her family, her teammates all sent their congratulations.

Huynh Nhu joined Lank FC from August 2022, and quickly integrated and shined in a new shirt. Through 16 matches, she scored six goals, provided two assists, achieving the highest scoring performance in the team. However, the Vietnamese striker has not considered it a success. "I still have a lot to learn at Lank," she said. "Even though I've only been in Lank for six months, I'll have a lot of stories to tell everyone. But for now, I just want to say, it's been an amazing experience."

Returning to Vietnam on this occasion, Huynh Nhu will attend the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards, where she is expected to win the Women's Golden Ball for the fifth time. However, the number one striker in Vietnam is still shy. "This year's Golden Ball race is very interesting because there are many worthy players. In particular, my teammates at the HCM City Club have performed well and won a lot of success. I look forward to the awards gala night on the evening of the 25th. The coming February will have many interesting and unexpected surprises."

Striker Huynh Nhu was born in 1991. She won seven Vietnamese national championships with Ho Chi Minh City, three times won the SEA Games gold medal, once won the Southeast Asian championship and together with the Vietnamese women's team won tickets to the 2023 World Cup.

Huynh Nhu has won four Vietnam Women's Golden Balls, four Top Scorers titles and many times the Best Player of the Women's National Championship. She also holds the record for the most goals for the Vietnamese women's team with 59 goals, two more than senior Luu Ngoc Mai.
