Huynh Nhu appeared in Coca-Cola's World Cup promotion video
The video posted by Coca-Cola is part of the official campaign for the 2023 Women's World Cup globally called "Faith creates miracles". The captain of the Vietnamese team is described as someone who always believes in himself the way fans always believe in the team. Appearing with Huynh Nhu were many other famous players such as American striker Alex Morgan - a two-time World Cup winner, New Zealand's defender - Katie Bowen or Brazilian midfielder - Debinha.
Huynh Nhu is also an ambassador for Coca-Cola's cooperation with FIFA. In the video shared before the first World Cup, the Vietnamese captain affirms that since he was a child, he has wanted to play and believe in himself. Huynh Nhu said that becoming the national team captain and the first female player to compete in Europe proves what the Vietnamese can do. "Every girl can make an effort and do what they like. If you believe in yourself, you can break all limits," number 9 of the Vietnamese women's team said in a video posted by Coca-Cola.
Bringing Huynh Nhu into the global campaign is one of Coca-Cola's many activities accompanying the 2023 Women's World Cup. In March this year, this brand in collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the World Football Federation (FIFA) co-organized the procession of the championship cup through 29 countries, including Vietnam. According to enterprises, the Cup procession brought Vietnam's image to the world, marking the first time the Vietnamese women's team qualified to participate in the World Cup finals.
In April, Coca-Cola Vietnam held a singles competition on Shopee Food, giving two prizes: a trip and tickets to New Zealand to watch the Vietnamese team compete in the opening match against the US on July 22. The long-standing sponsor of the World Cup also organizes many experience activities and games on the premises of the host stadiums. The brand also equips more than 500 trash cans in yards, encouraging the recycling of bottles and cans.
The tournament takes place from July 20 to August 20, with 32 teams evenly divided into eight groups. In the group stage, the teams play in a round-robin round to calculate the points, select the two high-scoring teams to enter the 1/8 round. Vietnam kicked off its first match against the US at 12pm on Saturday, July 22, at 8am on the same day in Hanoi time. After meeting the US, Vietnam will face the Netherlands on July 27 and Portugal on August 1. This is the first time Vietnam is present at the World Cup.
