Ho Chi Minh City will host the national strong team shooting tournament for the first time

On the morning of August 3, more than 200 athletes and coaches from 12 provinces began to compete in the National Strong Teams Shooting Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

The tournament took place from August 1 to August 10, organized by the Vietnam Shooting Federation, the General Department of Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City. The first two days, athletes practice to get used to the shooting range. The opening ceremony took place on the afternoon of August 2 at the Binh Thanh District Sports Center. There are a total of 14 events, including: 50m lying rifle, 50m three-position rifle, 10m air rifle, 50m pistol, 10m air pistol, 25m rapid fire pistol, 25m standard pistol, 25m pistol revolver, 25m sport pistol, 10m portable air rifle, 10m mixed mobile air rifle, Trap flying saucer, Double Trap flying saucer and Skeet flying saucer.

This is the first time the national strong team shooting tournament has been held in Ho Chi Minh City. A special feature of this year's tournament is a system of 10 electronic beer installed to serve the competition. Electronic beer is widely used in international shooting sports tournaments. In an effort to upgrade the shooting range and create conditions for the development of shooting, Ho Chi Minh City has equipped 10 electronic targets, which were put into use for the first time at this year's National Strong Teams Shooting Tournament.
