HAGL wins third match in a row in V-League
*Score: Dinh Thanh Binh 55'.
HAGL earned only one win in 13 matches of phase I, falling to 10th, so it could not enter the championship race group. But entering phase II in the group of six relegation teams, the mountain town team showed impressive performance. After defeating Khanh Hoa and Binh Duong to secure the relegation place, coach Kiatisuk's team continued to overcome Da Nang, holding the leading position in the group with 23 points after 16 matches.
Dinh Thanh Binh is the only author to help HAGL beat Da Nang on Pleiku Stadium today. He smartly moved through the space between the three orange players, picked up Minh Vuong's pass, and finished diagonally to defeat goalkeeper Van Bieu. The goal came from the first right shot that HAGL got at home.
Before that, in the first half HAGL played weakly. They only controlled the ball 35%, and did not have a shot in the right direction of the opponent's goal. The only chance for the mountain team was Brandao's escape and bounce after 21 minutes. Minh Vuong missed the ball, and Bao Toan had a chance but shot the ball too high over the goal.
Da Nang needs to win to stay relegated. They controlled the ball well, pressed the opponent but lacked accuracy in the final phases. The visitors' wingers often cross beyond Lucao and Wilson's reach. Da Nang's best opportunity came in the 35th minute when Cong Nhat passed Van Son on the left side of the border. Van Long and Lucao were waiting for the pass to go up to finish, but "22" chose to shoot at a tight angle, sending the ball over the crossbar.
After conceding a goal, Da Nang continued to lose troops. Minh Tuan entered the field at the beginning of the second half, but after playing for 20 minutes, he was injured and had to leave the field. The away team attacked the stalemate, trying to approach the opponent's goal with high balls towards Lucao. However, this striker was followed by Diakite with the ball, no chance to finish. Outside the field, coach Pham Minh Duc repeatedly shouted "It's okay, calm down".
When the match had more than 10 minutes left, coach Pham Minh Duc threw Phi Hoang into the field, changing the squad to kick three strikers. Midfielder Mauricio also regularly enters the opponent's penalty area. However, they are still stuck in attack. Even the away team almost lost a second goal when HAGL counterattacked in the 85th minute. In this situation, goalkeeper Van Bieu excellently touched his finger, causing the ball to change direction and bounce after Brandao's left-footed finish. .
The 0-1 defeat put Da Nang in a dangerous situation in the relegation race. They only have 11 points, equal to HCMC and just above in the sub-index.
In the match at the same time, Khanh Hoa won 3-0 against Ho Chi Minh City and remained relegated.
