The Vietnam Golf Association stopped providing handicap calculation services and banned from participating in all tournaments affiliated to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, due to assaulting a female employee on the golf course.

Mr. Dung is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company. On December 6, businessman cum member of Quang Nam Provincial People's Council came to play at BRG Danang Golf Resort and hit a female caddie with a stick, causing her to be hospitalized.

On December 12, BRG Group made a written statement about the refusal of Mr. Dung at the affiliated yards.

Mr. Dung apologized, promised to take care of hospital fees and support the victim's mental damage. "I really regret that my actions have caused her as well as affected the reputation of the People's Council of Quang Nam province," Mr. Dung wrote in the report, affirming to take full responsibility for the incident that caused the damage. receive all forms of handling in accordance with the law, and at the same time send an apology to the Provincial People's Council.

The People's Council of Quang Nam province was scheduled to hold a press conference on the afternoon of December 13, but then postponed it due to insufficient information. The People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District previously asked the police to verify the incident.

In 2013, Tam Dao golf course also had a case of a guest using a stick to hit the caddie in the head because he miscalculated the hole's record. After causing the injury, the litigant said that it was due to lack of restraint and accidentally, internally dealing with the yard and paying money to the victim. After that, he was reprimanded by the Hanoi People's Committee.

In May this year, Ba Na Hill golf course also recorded a guest who cursed and assaulted the caddie, when he was prevented because it was not his turn to hit.
