Gia Dinh was eliminated from the National U21 Championship 2022

The decision was made by the VFF Disciplinary Committee at noon on December 26. Accordingly, U21 Gia Dinh was eliminated from the National U21 tournament and fined VND 6,250,000. The reason is that they use player Le Van Truong - who plays in three different teams in 2022.

According to VFF regulations, in a year, a player can register for three teams but can only play for two different teams.

This year, Le Van Truong played for U19 HAGL and Kontum Golden Position Club in the Third Division. In the qualifying round of the National U21 tournament, he played qualifying matches for Gia Dinh. But in the final round, this player did not register to play. However, when their opponent Hanoi discovered and sent documents to VFF, they were sanctioned.

The same penalty was also applied by VFF to U21 SLNA when using player Phan Ba ​​Quyen to play in qualifying matches, causing the home team to lose 0-3 in three matches and be eliminated early.

With Gia Dinh eliminated, Hanoi won tickets to the semi-finals without having to compete. Previously, Viettel won Da Nang and Binh Duong beat HAGL to enter the semi-finals.

The remaining quarter-final match will take place this afternoon between Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh at 16:00.
